The Imagine America Foundation is Pleased Faculty Development Will be Featured at the Upcoming CCA Convention
Washington DC, June 8, 2009 - The Imagine America Foundation is pleased that several Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) subscribers will be presenting sessions related to faculty development at the upcoming Career College Association Convention. Results of the collaborative work between CEE and its subscribed institutions will be presented in three different, unique sessions.
The CEE, a training and development initiative formed by the Imagine America Foundation and MaxKnowledge, has successfully trained thousands of career college instructors using its unique lifecycle training process for faculty development. Combining online training and performance support tools with onsite transfer of training activities, the CEE has developed a comprehensive solution that turns training into performance.

Sunday, June 14th (3:30 pm - 4:30 pm)
ROI of Faculty Development
This session will address the results from a pilot study conducted by the ROI Institute at a Universal Technical Institute (UTI) campus and is based upon outcomes from the CEE faculty development program. As a member of the panel, Ron Obstfeld, UTI's Vice President of Learning and Development, will share his thoughts on linking training to performance objectives.
Monday, June 15th (3:15 pm - 4:30 pm)
Teaching Effectiveness Program Pilots
This session, presented by Dr. Ruth Reynard, Dean of Faculty Services for Career Education Corporation (CEC), discusses the challenges and outcomes of two faculty development program pilots, one of which is CEE, and describes the program that demonstrated the most positive result in terms of improvement to teaching practice and student satisfaction.
Tuesday, June 16th (8:00 am - 9:15 am)
Developing a Proactive & Student Centered Faculty
This session, presented by, Dr. Michele Ernst, Chief Academic Officer for Globe University, and Jay Hollowell, Vice President and Training Manager for MaxKnowledge, will provide strategies to create a student-centered learning environment and identifies an important link between employee retention in the workplace and student retention in school.
In addition to the above sessions, the Imagine America Foundation is hosting the CEE Advisory Meeting on Sunday, June 14th (5:00 pm - 6:00 pm). This is an invitation only meeting.
