Learning from each other...
We are seeing a great deal of discussions among career college professionals in our facilitated online courses. Some of our courses have thousands of discussion posts. In addition to the moderated discussions in our course forums, we offer these free public forums to encourage informal discussions and knowledge sharing of best practices outside of our training courses. We want to contribute to the development of an active learning community of career college professionals where we can all learn from each other. So go ahead, browse through the forums and participate in the discussions; post your questions and share your knowledge and experiences with your peers.

Blending the real and virtual worlds...
The Higher Education Initiative of The Pacific Institute (TPI) holds a unique annual conference for career college professionals to share and learn proven student and organizational success techniques. Beginning with the 4th Annual Best Practices and Great Ideas Conference (April 19-20, 2007), TPI's conference participants have used these forums to further share their thoughts and ideas with each other and the career college community at large.

Discussions are asynchronous...
The discussions in the forums occur in an asynchronous fashion. So please don't expect a reply right away - it may take a while before a particular discussion takes off. Participation in the discussion activities does not make your email address available to other participants.

"TPI's annual conferences bring together a highly motivated group of career education professionals who are passionately committed to enhance student success. Their affirmation: We are an active learning community of career college professionals making a significant impact on student retention and success. We hope that these forums will encourage not only the TPI community but all of us in the career college sector to implement best practices at our institutions. The enthusiasm of the TPI community is infectious! Check it out for yourself!"
